the lasting time of July to December of 1653 a number of 140 members held the short lives barebones parliament these were personally selected by Cronwell himself and some more of his advisers

as many members were just chosen as a quick turnaround from the rump parliament and shared the same religious qualities but lacked hugely in lawmaking qualities and skills and dealing with issue they couldn't handle like the ongoing conflict with Scotland and Ireland the barebones parliament was unable to solve these problems.

as the barebone parliament was much like James I addled parilment in 1614 as it was personal to the leader but was not the best option
