Descrizione:
Court case regarding bank of US. Bank was unpopular in many states in South and West. Maryland wanted to tax the federal bank, but an employee refused to pay the taxes.
Brought to court, ruled that states did not have the power to tax the federal government because the Constitution had implied rights for the federal government.
Strengthened the power of the national government of control over the states.
