The most representative statement of Anabaptist principles, written by a group of Swiss Anabaptists in 1527 in Schleitheim, Switzerland. It is still uses a guide for several Anabaptist groups, though not for any Mennonite or Amish groups. The doctrine includes: adult baptism, excommunication as final recourse for sin, communion as remembrance of Christ for baptized members, separation from all who are not Anabaptists, nonviolence, and no taking of oaths.
