15 apr 2021 anni - HIV Stigma prevents men from seeking treatment
Descrizione:
Stigma continues to be a significant barrier to HIV prevention and treatment among both HIV-negative and HIV-positive MSM. Internalized stigma was linked to lower levels of treatment engagement in studies of HIV-positive MSM. HIV-positive MSM in the South of the United States were also more likely to engage in risky sexual behavior. PrEP awareness was negatively associated with perceived health care discrimination, particularly among HIV-negative Black MSM.
