1 gen 1628 anni - Ship Money

Descrizione:

"Ship Money" was the title of a tax levied by England on any ship docking at one of its ports. It was intermittently used, and could be invoked by the monarch of England without the approval of parliament. In 1628 King Charles I levied this tax, which outraged the people of England, as well as parliament (this was one of the contributing factors leading up to the English Civil War).
