After being scouted in 1998 by SM entertainment, BoA debuted in 2000 at the age of 13 with 'ID; Peace B' as part of her debut album under the same name.

BoA would go on to continue under SM entertainment as an artist, releasing music in the U.S, Japan, China, Taiwan, and Singapore, though found most success in Japan and China. Such success earned her the title "Hallyu Queen" for her impact on East Asia as a South Korean singer.

Today, BoA works as a producer, mentor, and a continuing solo artist while also participating in the super group "GOT the Beat" (a group consisting of SM's top female idols and soloists from Girls Generation, Aespa, and Red Velvet).
