Causes:
1. To promote international peace
2. To achieve international security and prevent war
3. To improve global welfare
4. They needed some sort of method to keep the world alive.

Effects:
1. The united states didn’t join
2. Germany and Russia were not able to join the league of nations because of the impact that they had in the war. They were eventually allowed in and then later left in the 30’s.
3. Some people blame the league of nations for WW2 because they didn’t include some key nations in it.
4. First intergovernmental organization.
5. Founded at the Paris peace conference
6. There was 58 members at its peak
7. Japan, Spain and Italy all left during the running time.
8. There was 2 official languages for the league of nations they were French and English.
