The Storming of the Bastille marked the starting point of the "Parisian" revolution. An angry mob broke into the Bastille and dissassembled it brick by brick in order to find gunpowder and weapons. This event is historically important because it inadvertantly saved the National Assembly and allows them to continue with the revolution.
