Instead, he creates monuments, and preserves the past.” The part where it says he was “only one of many survivors” , reveals that he is a survivor of the great division in seasons 1 and 2, using the cornerfolk to travel to this new universe. Since he fictionalized things, he erased history and the past. In real life, Ed Dwight had never made it to the moon and is a sculptor.
