While dealing with the crash landing of the Hornet, the US still wanted to get revenge, which was achieved with the Doolittle Raid. The Doolittle Raid was a turning point in WW2 because as the first successful bombing of Japan, it greatly boosted morale for Americans and helped us have edge over the Japanese in the war.
