1 gen 1644 anni - What Made Up a Civil War Army

Descrizione:

there was many types of classes and position in a 17th-century army which would be see as a complex but strategic pattern with fighting there were about 5 roles that you would find on a Stuart battlefield
THE PIKeMAN
-this was normally a big man from a poor area of poor class that would be effectively used as cannon Fodder as the man would have to follow dangerous orders to hold his grand no matter what the man would be acquitted minimum armour and a 6-7 foot spiky Pike which he would then get on to one knee and position the spike upward there would be a lot of men in use for his as they would connect and act as a wall to stop cavalry from easily getting in and breaking down the form
THE MUSKETEERS
-this was a bit more of a higher class as you need more training and had a firearm weapon with you to protect yourself most musketeers would have a matchlock for their weapons musketeers were grouped in tight bodies as they could fire all in a line good musketeers would be able to fight up to 2-3 shot per minute within the battle
THE CAVALRY
-this position would be for the high classes like the elite royals or merchant classes with lords in the family these were also the top forces of a battlefield as this would be the class a general feared the most the cavalry was armed with an adult horse that he was trained t ride at either walking pace (4mph) then a trotting pace (7 mph) then a galloping pace (20mph) with all armour and weaponry on board there job would break the enemy lines of defence
THE OFFICER
-the officer wasn't in any way the first line of attack or defence he would be far away as he would be the brains of the operation it would be an end for him if the army lost or won the battle that day and the officers would know how to make a quick decision to fight back. the officer would normally be on the back of the horse as that would be the safest position to be in
THE MEDICS
- now because within this time they still did not believe a lot in science to help people to be saved there was not a lot of them but they were there as in fact within the Renaissance time as period we learnt a lot about the human body with medics studying people from battlegrounds like Willam Harvey which recover that the heart bumped blood around the body not that the liver was making it.
