Czechoslovakia was a multinational state that included the Czech and Slovakian nations. the state split into two states peacefully unlike Yugoslavia. they split because of nationalism and they didn't fully embrace the idea of unifying the Czech and Slovakian into one. Both of the nations wanted sovereignty over their own nation, which is having power and political unit over a countries affairs.
