Oceania was made up of many interconnected islands. No one knew anything about this region until 1999 when they were finally added to a history book. The region was separated into states and throughout Oceania gender roles were equal. They migrated and contacted Europeans through the creation of canoes. But eventally Europeans conquered this region.
