The interview I had at SPCS was different than others. It's not the first time that this has happened to me. I had the same feeling when I was hired at York English as well. When I was being interviews at SPCS I could tell that they were doing the best that they could to implement culturally relevant practices and they were an actively anti-racist school. My interview with them was actually the first time I ever heard the term 'anti-racist' before. This was inspiring to me and this has shaped the way I approach teaching my lessons and my classes since then.
