with Cromwell great back group through-out the civil wars and his leader ship being shown within the campaign within Scotland and Ireland successfully going ahead also because of the high respected that the NMA have towards Cromwell as he was the embodiment of the new model army having the system that a nobody come be a somebody and Cromwell was a bakers son and now is in control of England as a hole and at the time NMA had the most power at the time. so having a head of state coming form the army was a great idea
what did Cromwell want with his power
Cromwell mainly wanted 2 factors out of this new potion of power
- he wanted to control stability towards England as a nation as it had been though another so he wanted to form new stable from of government
- alongside having almost a state religon and social reforms as he wanted a truily puritan society put in place
