Descrizione:

The first election after the end of the Civil War. The Democratic Party had nominated Horatio Seymour, while the Republican party had voted for former Civil War General for the Union side, Ulysses S. Grant. Grant eventually won the election. This is something that the North would agree with as it was someone for who they were familiar and trusted with the Reconstruction. This was a step forward into Reconstruction.
