1 magg 1641 anni - Trial and execution of Wentworth
Descrizione:
the trail that broke Charle s some might say and Charles would never look at parliament in the same light
Wentowork a loyal and valuable person together both parliament and Charles as a whole he was a useful person
in Charles case
he showed much loyalty in finding the Irish rebellion and outbreak and he would sort out bankruptcy and manpower toward the bishop war also Wentworth genuinely supported and worshipped Charles as a leader and respected him they had a good relationship
in parliament case
they could easily use Wentworth as body armour as he was so close to the king that he was used as a scapegoat when parliament had an issue with the way Charles ruled England they would go to Wentworth to send the message so it wasn't classed a treason
but never the less parliament would put Wentworth on trial for importing Irish men into the English army to full the power towards the bishop this was seen as unlawful and he was impeached
the underlining reasons
the real reason for this act was that parliament hoped that without his evil councillors such as Wentworth Charles would see the need to accept reform and rule with parliament
and
rather than changing the whole system the removal of evil councillors would allow their replacement with men like Bedford and Pym who would ensure what parliament saw as good governing power for Charles.
as an overview Pym was the leading figure in impeaching Wentworth and over the month with Charles not willing to trait his position of power to save a friend Wentworth would then be executed on 12 May 1641 as they got even Charles to agree on Wentworth execution
parilment were being really mean and Charles took all this very personally
