8 nov 1866 anni - Election of 1866
Descrizione:
After Lincoln's assassination at Ford's Theatre by John Wilkes Booth, a seat needed to be filled for the Union. The new President was Andrew Johnson, who had a different view on the Reconstruction plan. This angered the North, because of Johnson's plans. He pardoned all those involved in the Confederacies side of the War. This not only made the Northerners upset, but it also was a good thing for those involved from the Southerner's view. This was a good thing on the South's side of things, and it was also a partial step towards Reconstruction.
