V-E Day was a day of celebration, Great Britan and the United States had finally put an end to the Nazi war machine. Along with the victory Russia took about 2 million prisoners after the German surrender. Millions celebrated in the streets and crowds of happiness had formed. Even with all this joy, there was a 30 day mourning period where flags were put up around the whole country to remember those who had given their life for the world.
