After the Second Oipientian Civil War, The Oipientian Party of the Republic slowly faded out and died. This left the nation in the hands of the still strong Yeskvog Conservative Party and the young Liberty Party of the Republic. However, a large portion of the former Republican members who were very prolific Oipientian nationalists founded the National Party in order to stop a full Yeskvog takeover of the Oipientian government.

The National Party lasted only for a short time before it collapsed in the 1830s due to the Pentan War
