War against Japan and Russia broke out when Russia refused to except the Japanese plan to divide Manchuria. Japan surprise attacked the naval Port Arthur, the Russian fleet was destroyed. This caused the Russo-Japanese War. The three biggest battles were the Port Arthur attack, a battle in Shenyang, China and a battle near the Tsushima Islands. Russia lost all three battles, so they decided to stop trying and made a treaty with the USA instead.
