EXCLUSIVE: After twelve years at ID, Senior Vice President, Jodi Gottlieb is starting her own PR agency, Independent Public Relations. Gottlieb will continue to represent clients including Bryan Cranston, Claire Danes, Lena Dunham, Jonah Hill, Dustin Hoffman, Paul Rudd and Emma Watson. While publicists leaving to start new firms is always stressful, both ID CEO and Founder Kelly Bush and ID President and COO Mara Buxbaum are being good sports about Gottlieb’s decision to strike out on her own.

“We’re incredibly proud of Jodi and are very supportive of her decision,” Bush and Buxbaum said in a statement. “Part of our goal at ID is to create a culture where our staff can reach their fullest potential, both personally and professionally. Gottlieb began her publicity career working at Nancy Seltzer & Associates and BWR. In 1998 she moved to the feature film publicity at Miramax Films where she worked on such films as John Madden’s Best Picture winner Shakespeare In Love, Tony Goldwyn’s A Walk On The Moon, and the late Anthony Minghella’s The Talented Mr. Ripley.
