2 giug 1774 anni - Intolerable acts - Quartering Act
Descrizione:
This was a series of Laws passed by the British Parliament for the American colonies. There were four, which were the Boston Port Act, the Massachusetts Government Act, the Administration of Justice Act, and the Quartering Act.
This act, the fourth and final of the intolerable acts, was one that applied in all the colonies. It said that if a British soldier sent from the king needed a place to stay and asked to use your home (or your “quarters”) then you would have to let them in and let them stay. Typically, they were to stay in barns, outhouses, or other uninhabited buildings.
