The Battle of Wyoming or the Wyoming Massacre was a key propaganda tool for the Patriots during the war. The purpose of this attack, in which 360 patriots were murdered, was the start of the stepped-up campaign of frontier attacks in the midwest. The actual battle however, ended in quick confusion, and then immediately led to the Wyoming Massacre.
