Eddie Cochran was very different from the goody-two shoes rock n’ rollers like Pat Boon, Frankie Avalon and Bobby Darin. He had that same emotionally connected voice and teenage appeal to that of Elvis Presley, which also came with the dislike of parents and older folks as well. Although his harder-hitting rhythm and bluesy style wasn’t always accepted by America, he was able to find his glory in England where his style flourished. While on a tour in London in 1960, Eddie Cochran died at the age of 21 from a car crash, but not after inspiring legends like Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
