The Make-A-Wish Foundation works to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses and Johnny Depp supports them.

In September 2011 Katie visited Johnny on the set of Dark Shadows in the UK. It changed her life. Katie is now the author of Thumper’s Adventures and still has contact with Johnny.
