9 marzo 1995 anni - Night Four
Descrizione:
Eggs conveniently wakes up exactly on time to be a bit early for his fourth night shift, probably one of the MOST unrealistic parts of this game, nobody ever gets up on time. Upon awakening, Circus Baby instantaneously knows he has woken up, instructing him to be still and quiet, somehow communicating with him from across the building. That is, unless the 7-foot tall animatronic somehow snuck out and into the Scooping Room, which would probably be another big plot hole itself. She suspects they noticed he never left the building last night and the cameras could not find him, since she has hidden him too well. Circus Baby takes all the credit for kidnapping him, when we ALL really know that Funtime Foxy did the actual heavy lifting [165]. Circus Baby tells him to not be afraid, as she will not hurt him, she is just going to keep him only for a little while [166]. She advises him not to wiggle [167], he is inside something that came from her old pizzeria. She does not think it was ever used in the way it was meant to, citing it as too dangerous. She describes it as being just barely big enough for one person to fit inside, but just barely.
Circus Baby informs Eggs that he is in the Scooping Room and asks if he knows why they call it that. The silent protagonist, who can talk, does not answer. She explains to the dummy it is obviously because it is the room where they use the scooper. She ponders about the name being fun and sounding like something that would be used for ice cream, custard, or sprinkles. It sounds like something one would want at their birthday party to ensure a heaping portion of everything good. Circus Baby wonders how a freshly opened pint of ice cream would feel about something with that name. Thankfully, freshly opened pints of ice cream do not feel anything at all (she thinks). She shushes Eggs, since it sounds like someone else is in the building, even though he has not made so much as a single sound.
It is actually two someone elses [168], technicians who can be heard bringing Ballora into the Scooping Room, apparently just free to get all up close and personal with Ballora, manhandling her to no consequence. The first one is soft-spoken and appears pretty used to his boring job, while the second has a Brooklyn accent, seeming more uneasy and inexperienced with his job. The second one wonders what is going on this time, it feels like the animatronics break down every day. The other doesn't know, citing it as always being the same, and some type of hardware malfunction. The second technician wants to get it over with, he has to be somewhere in 15 minutes (In-Universe Time), and the place gives him the creeps. The first worker says that it is all automated, so they can go after they put her on the rollers [E23].
Eggs once again, says absolutely nothing to try to get help, even though he is shown as perfectly capable of speaking later on [E24].
After about 22.5 seconds (Game Time) is when the second technician has to be somewhere.
The technicians leave, and now that they are alone again, Circus Baby explains to Eggs about something very important that she has learned to do over time; How to pretend. She asks if he ever plays make believe, pretending to be one way, when really the other. She calls it very important, and roasts that Ballora never learns, but she does. [169]
Circus Baby tells him that they think something is wrong on the inside, but the only thing that matters is knowing how to pretend.
Automatically, the scooper's warning alarm finally goes off and proceeds to scoop Ballora three times.
Before Circus Baby opens the faceplates, so that Eggs can be found on the (one) cameras, she explains that all he will have to do is wait. She recommends him to keep the spring locks wound up, as his breathing and pulse are loosening them. Eggs trusts her that he does not want them to get too loose.
Circus Baby somehow psychically opens the faceplates from wherever she is, which is conveniently only when the spring locks start to loosen [170]. Luckily, he only needs to manage the ten spring locks inside the front of the mask, the entire rest of the suit's spring locks are just completely fine [171]. On his own, it would be no problem, and completely doable, for Eggs to keep the spring locks tightened pretty much indefinitely. Unfortunately for him, he is not alone, as Ballora's Minireenas finally decide to show up, although they are just a smidge too late to really help Ballora at all. The Minireenas (which there are way too many of) start to climb onto and into the suit.
Why and how? I also have no clue, but it is WAY more believable for them to have snuck in than the giant that is Circus Baby. I would assume, probably because there is at least Room for One More inside. Whatever the motive is, the Minireenas crawling into the suit cause the spring locks to loosen even faster, while Eggs wiggles off the ones climbing the side of the head [172].
The cameras eventually see Eggs in the suit, and he is rescued, after a full TWO HOURS. As a plus, Eggs gets to go home, without having to actually do his job for the night.
Shift Complete! As the moon rises with the tension between sworn lovers, Eggs finally gets his fix of popcorn and “The Immortal and the Restless”, after a WHOLE day without them [173]. Vlad claims once again that it is not his baby, Clara responds by saying that he sucks. Vlad asks if it was a vampire joke and calls it lame, as if he has never heard that one a million times. Clara proposes that she takes the car, but the joke is on her, as Vlad reveals it to be a rental. Clara turns the tables, because the joke is on Vlad, she turned the thermostat to 90° [174] before she left. Vlad retorts that he likes it warm. Clara also set the house on fire. So much passion, tension, and intrigue! Eggs is just on the edge of his seat, wondering how it will all end. He would certainly be a hollow shell of himself, without this show.
What Eggs does not know, though, is that he brought a couple of souvenirs home with him. One ends up in his bucket of popcorn, while the other just stands in the corner. [175]
Something bad happens today.
