Patriot Maj Richard Winn learned a group of Tories were meeting at Mobely's Meeting House (Gibson's Meeting House?). Winn was joined by Col William Bratton and Capt John McClure with 100 militiamen to attack the Tories. The Patriots arrived at sunrise moving through the woods attacking the meeting house, a log building. Tories wno ran from the door were killed and others jumped out windows to escape leaving their rifles. Patriots killed 3 officers and 5 others, wounded 16 and captured 10-15. Patriots suffered no losses.
