Soloman Freer was a Patriot but his brother John Freer was a Loyalist who told Soloman if he did not support the King he would be killed. One night in Feb 1781, Soloman equipped his son and sent him to join Patriot Light Horse militia under Capt Peter Youngblood. On 7 Apr, John or another Loyalist killed Soloman Freer.
