Ed Sheeran decided to go on a break in order to find himself and take a break from "living life through his phone." He spent his time travelling and writing music around the world and specifically in Iceland. He promised his fans a return the next fall through an Instagram post saying goodbye for now. Ed returned back to the spotlight in late 2016.
