Descrizione:

Murad I, nicknamed the devotee of god (meaning sovereign in this case), was the Ottoman Sultan from 1360 to 1389. Murad I built up a society and government in the newly conquered city of Adrianople, continuing to establish the sultanate. Murad I expanded his reign across Europe, and brought many Balkans under the Ottoman rule, even forcing the Byzantine empire to pay him tribute. One of Murad I's most significant wins was the capture of Edirne in 1362, which he made the second capital city of the Empire, as well as capturing and conquering Thrace, Bulgaria, Macedonia, and Serbia.

Murad I was a significant ruler, with his reign seeing witnessing rapid Ottoman expansion in Anatolia and the Balkans, as well as the creation of new forms of government and administration to consolidate Ottoman rule. His reign saw much progression in the Ottoman empire, strengthening it and causing it to stay strong for centuries to come.
