This event is important to me as unlike many others, I developed my reading and writing skills much later than what was expected when I was in grade 3. This helped shaped me into being the person that I am today as it began my journey of reaching academic success at school and resulted in me excelling at all subjects the next year. I believe learned how to read and write helped me as it is critical skills that you need to develop if you’d like to accomplish your goals because without them, you life would be increasingly harder not knowing how to communicate by writing or understanding text.
