The Executive Order 8802 was issued by Franklin D Roosevelt, the United States President. This order stated national defence positions and government jobs were open to all Americans, meaning there would opportunities for all people despite their race, creed, colour or origin. This order had banned discriminatory employment practises from federal agencies, unions and war-related companies.
