Nazis tried to take over Munich and intended to overthrow the public. Lasted 12 hours. Von Karr had supported the Nazis until he withdrew his support on 4th October, therefore Hitler would hold him at gunpoint to get his support again. HItler and 600 soldiers went into the beerhall with support from General Ludendorff. They began to march up but the army knew they were coming as Von Karr ratted on them. 16 Nazis an 3 policemen were killed and Ludendorff was arrested immediately. Hitler was arrested 2 days later and he was to be in prison for 5 years but only served 9 months. He wrote Mein Kampf while in prison
