Battle of Britain(June 22- Dec 5 1940): The Battle of Britain was between the panzers’ luftwaffe and the Royal Air Force. The German goal was to conquer the English Channel and the rest of the land with it; however, the British fought fiercely, forcing Hitler to pull his forces back. Both sides suffered heavy damage and loss, and the Germans did not succeed as they had anticipated.
