2 gen 1964 anni - Harlem Race Riots
Descrizione:
The race riots in Manhattan, New York went on for a long six days after a white police officer shot and killed an African-American teenager. This event is very familiar to when George Floyd was killed in may of 2020. The were riots across the country including Illinois and Philadelphia. They were protesting police brutality and the extremities that the police can perform without any repercussions. This, however, was not just protesting. People were looting stores and vandalizing private property. After all the rioting had ended, one person had died, more than 100 injured, and over 500 were arrested.
