The Yalta Conference was a meeting between Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin, where the three world leaders agreed to demand Germany’s unconditional surrender, and decide post-war plans. The aim of the conference was to decide the future of Germany after its defeat, and it was decided that Germany would be split into four zones of occupation after the war was over. The significance of these four zones of occupation is that this led to increased tensions between western powers and the USSR.
