The League oversaw a peaceful vote in Upper Silesia and divided the region between Germany and Poland. Both countries accepted the result. The vote was a plebiscite that was overseen by the LoN in order to determine ownership of the province of Upper Silesia. After a six-week inquiry, the League decided to split Upper Silesia between Germany and Poland. Both countries accepted this decision. This was very successful and important because the vote was fair between both countries and the decision was accepted in good faith. Also, both countries got an equal share.
