The Constitution recognizes the need to be revised and allowed for amendments to be made. The first 10 amendments are known as the Bill of Rights. Where the individual rights provided by these amendments are important, the greatest aspect of this was that The Constitution was a living document and allowed for such change, acknowledging the passage of time and the needs of the people.
