SENECA FALLS CONVENTION
Convention held in Seneca Falls, New York on July 19 and 20, 1848.
Ideas/Complaints from convention were presented in the Declaration of Sentiments and Resolutions modeled on the Declaration of Independence stating that, “All men and women are created equal.”
Equal rights included suffrage, which would give women political (voting) power.
