Elizabeth Cady Staton organized the Seneca Falls Convention where she wrote the Declaration of Sentiments based on the Declaration of Independence. She fought for equal rights for women.
The Seneca Falls Convention was held in Seneca Falls, New York, on July 19th-20th, 1848.
Complaints from the convention were presented in the Declaration of Sentiments and REsolutions modeled on the Declaration of Independence stating that "All men and women are created equal".
