With the defeat of Hydra and Ultron, Tony Stark retires from active duty as Iron Man, and settles down with Pepper Potts. He continues to bankroll the privatized Avengers, and act as a consultant. the Avengers are inaugurated with three dedicated teams: Los Angeles, covering the West Coast and Pacific with Tony Stark in command; Chicago, covering the midwest with Natasha Romanov in command; and New York, covering the East Coast and Atlantic, with Janet Van Dyne in command.
