Was the first union plan for winning the civil war. Plan was to take the Mississippi River, Blockade Southern ports, and capture the confederate capital and Richmond, Virginia. Was the North's strategy of squeezing the Southern Confederacy into submission/surrender (much like the anaconda snake itself) was created by General Winfield Scott.
