as the attacks keep coming, people begin to talk about banding together to take on Titus and his followers. They look to Dryden as their leader since he is the chosen one. To prevent the possibility that they will be hurt, Dryden makes a band of heroes that go and gallantly hunt Titus's followers. Alton sends the followers on missions and lets Dryden know where they are. Dryden and his posy show up and defeat them. Then they arrange for the posy to confront Titus but arrange so that he has a major advantage. Titus kills the posy and "nearly kills" Dryden before Dryden delivers "what should have been a killing blow" in front of terrified witnesses. This confirms that Titus cannot be killed and prevents others from trying.
