56 delegates from all colonies except Georgia met at Carpenter’s Hall in Philadelphia for this meeting. Here they crafted the declaration of rights and grievances document. They also elected Peyton Randolph as the first president of Congress. Now organized opposition to the British is being crafted and a war is looking to be unavoidable. This lead to Lexington and Concord.
