Without warning Flapjack leaves the 8thLR Discord. He posted several messages explaining why he was leaving. He posted one of these messages in the 8thLR Server Announcement chat, that was ultimately deleted by Mamba. After he felt being circumnavigated and ignored by the higher leadership in the 8thLR he secluded himself in Keyboards and Chill. A few members of the community followed him.

Here are a few parts from his message: “I’m sorry to announce I’ve had enough. The 8thLR is no longer what it used to be, despite the actions of myself and other members of Headquarters loyal to the community… Now it’s a shadow of its former self. This is largely due to the gross ignorance of the two individuals you call ‘Oberst’… It saddens me greatly to leave this community after two years, but I fear should I stay I will be ousted for one shady reason or another, simply because I spoke out. I’m sure they’ll delete this post through anger and emotion, rather than acting with rationale, because that is the way of our current ‘Obersts’.”

This event served as a large escalation to The Troubles.
