1 gen 1944 anni - Oswald Avery
Descrizione:
Oswald Avery discovered that the heredity genes of the cell are located in the strands of DNA, not the “protein.” Along with his work on genetics, he also contributed to understanding the immunological processes. While researching the strand of bacteria that causes pneumonia, he realized that there was a trait that can pass down from parent to child making them more susceptible to pneumonia, showing that something other than a protein was passing down genetics. This research aided in the theory of heredity, that traits are passed down and evolved through parent cells to daughter cells.
