12 apr 1770 anni - Townshend Acts Cut Back
Descrizione:
Parliament withdrew the Townshend Act of 1767. But, they kept the tax on tea. They withdrew because of the loss of profits that were resulting due to the boycott of the imported British goods. This eventually led to an end of nonimportation. Since Parliament relaxed its taxation, colonies laid off their boycotts. But, since the tax was still of tea this lead to the Tea Act.
