The summary of what happened at the start we have Robert Carr breaking his leg in 1606 and King James falling in love with him. Robert Carr and Thomas Overbury become friends over that acquaintanceship of the king. it was a great team Overbury would have great ideas and Robert Carr would have the power to forward them. after Robert Cecil's death in 1612 Robert Carr is getting more powerful. with this power, he would look for help from this Howard family that he trusted very much this was because Robert really didn't know what to do with the power heat gained. At this time Robert fell in love with a girl Francis Howard and she was already married. Overbury said not to fall in love because it would cause a lot of damage. Overbury wrote a poem to Frances to pretend the relationship. in the poem he was pretenting to be carr and the poem talked about how ugly Francis was to him. Francis then knew it was overbury causing tension and his consequence was being banned in parliament. so King James gave him a job in Russia but overbury cancelled the offer. this spring a big anger within King James and overbury with the tension rising because of this rudeness he was sent to the Tower of London. whilst overbury was in the Tower of London in 1613 he was then suddenly poisoned by a guard. after this James would sadly except cause Anne Francis is marriage. the king now trying to get a new boyfriend in search because Carl was taken. but then there were speculations and investigations within the murder of overbury and it shows That Francis hired a drug doctor to look over overbury whilst he was in prison and he had orders to kill him. so then the king I had to sadly put Carr and his new wife in the Tower of London for six years
