Santiago and Natalia feel as though it is their responsibility to eliminate Gabi before she spreads her White behavior throughout he district. Zinhle already told them that she will betray Black Magic, no matter their efforts, but they decide to try to eliminate her anyways. When Santiago uses his Elementalist power to strike her and Natalia uses her Distorter power to guilt her into submission, Gabi retaliates. Although she is a Distorter, she utilizes Elementalist magic from her father's side and, consumed in anger and despair, burns down her entire house down. Lio manages to survive, although Gabi is unaware of this.
